I would give 0 stars if I could. Securely is a disgusting invasion of students' privacy, and it convolutes learning with its absurd censorship. I've had a horrible experience with this extension. Whoever invented it deserves to die a slow and painful death for the agony they have caused.

It Sucks. It keeps glitching and making me not even be able to get to google. I had to have my friend e-mail me the link to this site to troubleshoot. I called their support number, and they told me to share my screen, and they did nothing except restart my computer. It did nothing. I would recommend downloading an older version of chrome on a USB stick and plugging it into your computer. That is what I did and now I can access google. Thanks to my friend Oliver, and not your support team.
this is the absolute worst app you could ever create. You blocked discord, and every extension known to man, to name a few. I hope you burn in hell, you foul people. I hope my kids don't have to deal with this bullshit. Do you think you are doing the right thing? you are doing the absolute opposite. the only way to communicate with people is with fucking Gmail. where you can't even make a conversation, it is just an email with many people.

Our middle school uses Securly to make sure we don't see adult content and to monitor our online activity. While I recognize the app is not perfect at screening things, I have had problems with the filtering of child-friendly, educational content numerous times. It blocks things that we need for school even though they are not inappropriate nor graphic in any manner. It also tracks your location which is pretty unsettling and unneeded. Another thing it does is look at your browsing history and basically evaluate it. (this is the short version of my review) Securly does ok and has plenty of cons that weigh out the pros but Securely is not a horrible program. The design is simple but that's ok. It deserves it's rating and every single student in the entire world does not need to turn on CapsLock and be angry. If you want to rate something 0.5 stars, than have actual reason. Otherwise students can just shut up.

This is a lot more stupid than any monitoring app in the world. Everytime I go on a frickin' kid-friendly image, they BLOCK me, unfair dude. You should probably take this program down or I will sue you.

0.5/5 could not complete homework a couple of times because it blocked the youtube video i had to watch. blocks sources i had to use to back up points in my essay about best video game character, which was a huge part of my grade. blocks everything else, even when im at HOME. teacher has very limited options for us when they try to get us to play a game. especially since flash player is gone. people are tracking every button i press. every tab i have open. so glad i found a bypass site. in total, my most hated app. pros: nearly none. students will find other ways to spend their time. the only use i could see is blocking innapropriate sites and swear words. cons: blocks too much. no... Securely is not a good website filter to choose, apparently when I first used it caused a series of problems on my device. The apps just won't stop crashing and my device is a lot more slower now. The sites on safari just won't stop crashing. My device was a lot more better before I downloaded securely. I wasted my money on something that ruined my device. I've also been noticing my Childs device have been having the same problem as well. So I recommend that you don't download securely on your device.

Why does it have to block things like youtube that you need for class
listen if u double click next to the add tab button it brings up task manager(can't be blocked) you can disable it securely only for a few seconds so be fast and it enables again but you can do this multiple times but this method cant be blocked like others
Unsecure and unhelpful. My son is currently Doing Online school And securly makes it VERY hard for him to work using the school computer because most websites that he needs for school are blocked. My wife and I dont have much money so when we heard that he was allowed to bring the school computer home, we felt releived that we did not have to buy a new laptop for him to do online school. Then he started complaining about the issues to his teachers and they did nothing. So we had to buy a new laptop for him that would last long enough for him to graduate.
