Founded in 2018, Hush & Hush is a manufacturer of beauty, anti-aging, and wellness products. The company uses nutraceutical ingredients to formulate its line of skin care, hair care (including hair loss), digestion, mental wellness, and other merchandise. Hush & Hush is located in Jupiter, Florida.

About Hush & Hush

Hush & Hush prides itself on using natural ingredients exclusively to formulate its extensive line of beauty, anti-aging, and wellness products. The company believes that beauty and wellness are best supported by treating people on the inside as well as the outside.

Many of the ingredients that comprise Hush & Hush's products fall into the category of nutraceuticals. Nutraceuticals are foods and food derivatives that contribute to or are thought to contribute to physical or mental health, in some cases by protecting against chronic disease. Increasingly, nutraceuticals are seen as an alternative to traditional pharmaceutical products and have been the subject of a growing number of scientific studies. While western culture has more recently warmed to the category, elsewhere in the world, nutraceutical remedies have an ancient history.

Hair Loss Prevention Products from Hush & Hush

There are only two ingredients to date that have been FDA-approved for the treatment of hair loss and proven by medical research to regrow hair (and then only for some people). Minoxidyl is applied topically to treat baldness and finasteride is taken internally. While these products are effective in treating male-pattern baldness, their efficacy appears to be more limited in women. Hush & Hush products do not contain either of these FDA-approved ingredients. Any claims you read about hair loss products that contain the words "clinically proven" or similar language—on Hush & Hush's or any other website—should be viewed in this light. Clinical studies are often funded by product manufacturers themselves or other organizations that have a financial interest in their outcomes.

Plans and Pricing

Hush & Hush positions its products as luxury nutraceuticals. A bottle of Deeply Rooted, its only product in the hair loss category, costs $75 for 120 capsules. The company recommends taking 4 capsules a day. Used as directed, a bottle will last a month. They also recommend that you continue to use the product for 7 months for best results. That's a significant investment to make for many customers, but it may seem like a small price to pay to others. Hair loss has the potential to deeply affect people's self-image and confidence.

Deeply Rooted contains these key ingredients:

  • Saw Palmetto
  • KSM-66 Ashwagandha Root Extract
  • Tocotrienol/Tocopherol Complex
  • Primavie Organic Himalayan Shilajit

Hush & Hush Summed Up

The ingredients contained in Hush & Hush's hair loss product are not FDA-approved for or recognized by the medical community as effective in treating hair loss. We do appreciate the company's sales model, however. Many companies that make similar products require customers to sign up for a subscription. Subscriptions can be difficult to cancel and many customer complaints—in a wide variety of consumer product categories—surround being billed for products and services after attempting to cancel a subscription. While Hush & Hush does offer savings on each bottle of Deeply Rooted when you sign up for a subscription, customers can choose to purchase a single bottle of the product at a time.
