The 14572 has a white exterior, but there are additional models in black and stainless steel. This model has a protruding handle and a roomy stainless steel tub that can fit up to 13 place settings. This has both advantages and disadvantages - it gives it a sleeker appearance, but it could be hard to tell when the cycle is in progress and open it by mistake.

The Kenmore warranty covers the appliance for one year against defects in material or workmanship, guaranteeing free repair or replacement (a choice that is left up to the seller) if the appliance is found to be defective. It covers all appliance parts for two years and will cover replacement (but not installation) of upper and lower dish racks if they're damaged due to rust within five years. The warranty covers the appliance from the time it's bought and as long as it is used against leaks due to rust-through.

Damage to or failure of this appliance resulting from installation not performed by Sears authorized service agents, including installation that was not in accord with electrical, gas or plumbing codes. Damage to or failure of this appliance, including discoloration or surface rust, if it is not correctly operated and maintained according to all supplied instructions. 6. Damage to or failure of this appliance, including discoloration or surface rust, resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, misuse or use for other than its intended purpose. 7. Our 14572 is dead after 5 months- motor burned out. We've waited a week for a technician to arrive and will now wait another week for a new motor to be installed. This repair is covered in warranty, but if it were out of warranty the cost for this repair (per the receipt left by the technician) would have been $459. He verbally commented that he has "replaced a ton of these motors". This does not install any confidence in the longevity of this dishwasher.
