I'm having a difficult time getting service on a GE Range. Service person has will now make trip 3. one part at a time solution. Lack of follow up from the whatever service network they use.
Just an FYI for the folks out there buying the appliance warranties thinking it covers everything. Bought a refrigerator in 2020 and with 2 years the vegetable and lunch meat tray plastic brackets cracked. Thinking no problem, I have a 5 warranty. When I looked into it the expensive warranty I purchased does not cover the broken tray brackets or basically anything else that breaks inside the refrigerator. Bottom line read the fine print because they will not tell you this when purchasing the warranty. Very disappointed because now I have to spend close to $200 more for frig parts only 2 years old.
Complete disconnect between HomeDepot warranty claim and service center assigned to receive claim to come and repair Samsung Refrig. Ice cube maker and Ice cube bin.
2 same claim submissions never made it to Service center and then reasigned to another service center.
2nd Service Center told me they don't cover my home address area.
Back to Home Depot Warranty and spoke to Supervisor of excaltion complaint dept.
2 days later we are still working on finding yet another Service Repair company to come and take care of the warranty issue.
Asurion protection plan is a joke, don’t waste your $. LG is paying for the compressor & labor and Asurion doesn’t even want to pay for the service call to diagnose the 3 yr old refrig, UNBELIEVABLE!
Appliance installation service is terrible and horrible. there is long long waiting time to get gas stove installation . Even though I paid for measure, I had to call so many times to set up installation service. they said a constructor was supposed to call me but it never happened. I never had experience like this . They need to change their service system. I think their inner system is not working .
Tried to rent a metal brake from Home Depot. They lied about the price on the phone and tried to tell me when I got there that there was no such phone call. Also wouldn't let me rent it without also renting their truck - more money - even though last time I had a 10-foot brake of this type I loaded it into my car by myself with no problem. This is the last of a long line of problems, and I mean the last. Been a customer for years and spent many $000s with them but I'll never go back there again for anything.
I have a friend who purchased a lg refrigerator less than a year later the compressor went out that was approximately 90 days ago lgs solution was to give her a credit for a mini fridge valued at 300 dollars or less till repairs could be made , i would think 90 days waiting should require a replacement or a refund at the very least, but still waiting !! What kind of place does business like this ,!!!
We just bought a new deep freezer that was smashed and Home Depot replaced it. Now we have the deep freezer replacement and it is not freezing properly and it's under warranty still. Who can fix this problem?
Bought an LG washer in July. It was delivered on August 6th, and installed. Water drips into the main drum continuously. We called and reported the problem the same day, and were told it would take 6+ weeks until new washer was delivered from LG warranty services. Six weeks go by and we heard nothing. Called again, and after waiting on hold for well over half an hour, was told that the new delivery date would now be November 10th!!!!!
Yet online, it shows the same model is in stock, and can be delivered today! But they have to get a replacement from LG warranty services. Terrible policies, absolute BS! Don't buy your appliances here.
I bought a fridge on line during pandemic. I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN AND DISABLED. Cannot reach service warranty line. Have waited over 5 hours in accumulated calls. They do not answer emails. Deliver men dumped fridge. I cannot get the fridge to stop rolling all over the floor.
Been waiting for months for them to repair a washer/dryer we have, and we purchased the service plan from them. They are terrible.
Purchased new Samsung Washer and Dryer on 2/28/2020 and an additional 3 year warranty that I was told was available as of day one of purchase. Fast forward to a month ago. Washer got a leak, I called Home Depot for service. Was told it had to go thru Samsung, After hours and hours and hours of going back and forth following up, my washer is still not fixed and won't be fixed till 9/7. I will never recommend Home Depot for anything other than maybe a box of nails. Their whole customer service and warranty dept. is horrible.
I bought a Bosch dishwasher in Jan 2020 and needed service as the installer did not install the water drain correctly. Yesterday, Aug 10, I called the service telephone number and a recording said due to covid call back in 3 weeks. Called the store manager, and she said the first year has to be covered by the manufacturer. Total waste of money!
the worst service I have seen, they came 7 days after the emergency happened and reported and ask for another 5 business days for the part then we need to schedule the installation that might take about 5 other business days. if it doesn't work the money back and no replacement.
technician thought was good

I purchased a $2200 GE refrigerator in April of 2019. Yesterday (July 17th) it stopped working. I also purchased a 5 year extended protection plan through Home Depot. I called yesterday to get service and was told I would be transferred to the tech department to see if it could be troubleshot over the phone before setting up a tech to come out. The only troubleshooting the tech told me was to unplug the fridge for 2 hours and plug back in. Didn’t work. He set up a service appointment for July 22nd, I asked to have something sooner he said there wasn’t anything. I called back to get someone else who might actually want to help me and a lady changed it to July 21st. If I had known that... Read More
I purchased a Home Depot extended warranty and it proved to be worthless. The water heater developed a water leak and even though the replacement water heater was covered by the manufacturer, the removal and reinstall was NOT covered by the Home Depot warranty. It broke within the Home Depot warranty period, but Home Depot would not pay for it - they said it was mechanically sound and therefore not broken. This was even though the internal water leak kept putting out the pilot light. Over the next 2 1/2 weeks the leak kept getting worse and with the water heater located in my attic, I had to make the decision to remove/replace it and pay the plumber myself (nearly $600). The Home... Read More
I have a Ridgid Generator that has less than 15 hrs on it. (Its only used when power goes out) This unit was purchased in Dec. 2014 and has been back to the Home Depot Service center twice. The first time I was very pleased. Repaired for under $70 and described as being a loose wire within. The second time I'm not so impressed. Received a notice the repair was going to be around $1000. and that it needed the generator head replaced due to condensation and rust as a result of the way it was stored. This generator has been inside a garage on a cement floor since purchased... Needless to say I requested it to be sent back. When I got some time, I looked into the repair on my... Read More
Home Depot sale warranties for appliances and refuse to repair the appliances when it is time. They will send an out sourced tech out and then say it is not covered. Save your money, HD warranty is GARBAGE!
I will not be purchasing another appliance from Home Depot as long as they use A&E appliance repair for their warranties...…..I've had nothing but heartache in my attempts to have repairs made to my appliances. No more! Read A&E's reviews on YELP.
Don't buy LG. Bought over 12000.00 in appliances a few years back all with extended 5 year warranty. Our LG refrigerator has seen several repairs over the past few years. This week it stopped cooling so we called Home Depot. They gave us the number of the repair company they were supposed to be sending out but they said they had to fax a work order to them. Two days later no calls, called the repair company and was told no order was sent. Called Home Depot for about the 5th time and was told that the servicing was now being done by LG and not Home Depot. LG cant give us a fix date. Not my fault that Home Depot has turned over a service contract to LG that I bought from Home Depot.... Read More
we bought a refrigerator at home depot, about a week ago, it isn't working, we need someone to work on it ,water is coming out the bottom , we called service department my husband has been on hold for a hour, this is alful service.
Bought a LG refrigerator in April. Its not cooling properly. Food is frozen in the back, not cooling in the front. I tried calling for a repair but that was a waste of time. Either I get someone trying to sell me parts or sell me an extended warrantee. I should have known not to buy anything from this circus.
Bought a new LG refrigerator and talked into getting the extended warranty almost 2 years ago. Now the fridge (including the freezer), no longer cools and making a horrible sound. Their "first available", is over 3 weeks out. I escalated to the operations manager, still, no luck. So... basically, we are going thru the manufactures warranty service. Seems I paid $250 for the warranty that will cover up to $200 in lost food... That's it. Home Depot has really let me down on this one (and I've always preferred Home Depot to their competitor. Certainly re-thinking that.)
The product repair was requested on July 31st, a gentleman came very quickly August 2nd. He did not have the part on his truck, so ordered it to my home. It did not come in the 3-5 business days, I called in and it seems he ordered it to the wrong place... The gentlemen is now scheduled to come back on the 16th of august to repair it... I wish i never purchased this plan, 17 days for a washing machine repair is ridiculous if i could have just spent the same amount of money on a repair man, rather than the policy, it would not have taken such a long and protracted period as it did. Home depot helped in no way, nor afforded any remuneration for the excessively long wait time.
Purchased a GE washer at home depot with a 5 year warranty - the washer has failed - two repair tech were sent ... they claimed the washer was fixed ... same problem continued and they refused to resolve the issue claiming repair men have been sent and there is no problem. UNACCEPTABLE!
