Their equipment does not work. I am very displeased with this company as the equipment will work for a day or two and then stop working. We are charged for them to come and repair the equipment. Further, it is a separate company that maintains the equipment, so when I have issues, I'm often tossed back and forth between the two companies. I WOULD NOT recommend and can't wait for my contract to end so I can switch

Had 3 yr contract for equipment, installation and monitoring which I kept for 6 years. Decided to go with another monitoring company at 1/3 the monthly cost, but Monitronics finally admits it will not release the patent code so that my equipment can be used on another company system. Without this code, the system is not usable. I offered to mail the system to them so they could remove it and avoid possible loss of security, but answer from Theresa in Executive Resolutions was no way. I lease a car for 3 yrs, make my payments on time, and when I ask for the key to drive it Monitronics says you cant have it and if you want security you must pay my rate. Shame. Shame

I've used Monitronics for 3 years. They just upgraded my system for free. I used to have ADT who was horrible. I now have a touchscreen model that works with my cell phone and computer. I can control everything in my home from it. Pretty cool! They appear to use a lot of locally trained dealers for quick installation and service. I used one in Seattle called Empire Security. They have a ton of systems and brands to choose from based on what you want, not just two or three like other companies. Low cost, easy to use for the whole family. I would recommend them for sure.

I have been charged every month for services not rendered since July 14 2015 @ 52.99 monthly.. I called in August when charge appeared withdrawn from my checking account and told them it has not been connected to wall and discontinued since july 14th so please refund august and sept charge.. they said I had to pay because I did not cancel..I said how come you didnt let me know that wire was cut.. too many excuses and said I had to pay! even though no service... I just wanted a two month refund as I am on fixed income and handicapped with a husband with alzheimers and myself. It would be easy for them to refund 2 mos.

After 15 years of "service" I'm out of here. I just found out I have not been covered for almost two years. They blame it on the phone company (they do lots of others locally), the fact that we are digital (we aren't!) then they told me the phone line deteriorates over time and I should have checked in weekly to see ïf it works."....all this despite having a phone dial tone. they wanted $300 to convert me to digital AND up my monthly cost (you are too low!) We kiss my putootie! Loyal huh?
