Horrible. In September had to take off about 6 weeks due to having vertigo, extreme fatigue, swelling of right side of my face, redness of right eye, and lactating when not recently having a child or pregnant. I was diagnosed with a benign tumor prolactinoma, hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's disease. Cigna (New York Life) took forever to even look through my case. My case manager Aaron was impossible to reach, left him several messages regarding an update with my claim during the time I was off. He then went on vacation and other reps had no idea of what was going on. I requested a supervisor then she went on vacation. I decided to return to work because I noticed they were not going to... Very elusive on coverage and what plans will actually pay. For example, the Medicals Dental has no insurance at all, it only provides Discounted rates for Dental. You must purchase the Dental 1500 plan separate to get Dental coverage. The agents will not tell you this, almost shady in their practice, look at the plans in writing before you purchase. Not happy with their representation.

I don't care what the cost is compared to other companies. The terrible customer service is beyond redemption. I just spent an hour on the phone trying to find out what imaging companies are covered. AN HOUR. And then the rep kept giving me addresses in PA, even though I'm in NJ. This isn't the first issue I've had with them. I can't wait til Oct so I can pick another company. I just wish I didn't have to wait until 2022 to get rid of them.

I have spent hours on line waiting for and talking to the various help desks with "promises" of speedy help for the past 3 weeks. All I want is to register for a log-in for Pete's sake. It is absurd and inexcusable and I'm sorry I changed to this company. I am now concerned about the attention my coverage will receive, and the ability for any knowledgeable coverage. You get one star because I still have fingers crossed that things will get fixed.

This insurance company is beyond cold and heartless. Those are honestly, the only words I could use to describe Cigna. Clearly, they do not care about their members or their overall health. My 5 year old son requires a bone marrow transplant due to a congenital disorder called Aplastic Anemia. It's basically a disorder in which the bone marrow stops generating new blood cells on its own, causing the body to gradually begin breaking down. Our pediatricians as well as the treating hospital where my son receives treatment requested approval for this bone marrow transplant, as being medically necessary. Cigna however, automatically denied covering the procedure, and stated it was only... Read More

Cigna customer service is the worst. Our company moved from United Health Care to Cigna because it was cheaper and we found out the hard way why. No one follows up, the customer service is not on US soil so there are big communication and understanding issues. Dont waste your time, your employees will make your life miserable,

Before deciding on this company, be aware that you are required to have a "referral" before you can see a specialist!!! This is important because it can be a hassle.
