The start up takes months, between redoing the impressions and photos multiple times, "the treatment plan", and then fabrication and shipping. That said, I was very pleasantly surprised at how well the aligners fit on my gums and how quickly my teeth began to shift. However, I totally agree that their customer service is awful. No response to emails, and three days or more to get a response to a phone call during their business hours, when they say their goal is 24 hours. I had one poorly fitting aligner, and the response after four days was that I had probably put it in too soon, despite there being a 1/8" trench behind my front teeth. Day 2 of wearing mine and I'm very happy thus far. The process is a little time consuming but It's still faster than dealing with dentist and orthodontists. I hope I get the desired results that their computer program showed. The fit feels right. I can mostly talk normal, it's just weird to me to wear. They hurt the first day but not anymore. So far I feel like this is the way to go for anyone considering getting their teeth straightened.
Trash. Their aligners not only didn't fit me well but now my jaw hurts and my natural bite doesn't feel comfortable at ALL (and I have completed treatment). I have tried updating Candid's customer service throughout the process and they kept disregarding my concerns, after taking almost a week for a different staff member to reply each time. You can't even talk with your orthodontist, just their Candid "specialists". So now I'm out $2,000 and probably need more work done. I'm so disappointed. I wanted to love this company but they're all talk.
After I paid, one month ago, they completely disappeared. No communication, no email or message or call, nothing. After one month and a couple of calls I finally got a plan to review, but still they have not started manufacturing and they said it will take another 4-5 weeks before they ship anything to me. Overall from payment to start of treatment it will take more than two months, and I had to follow up because they completely stopped caring about me after I paid. If I could go back I would choose one of the many competitor. Two starts because the in-store experience for the 3D scan was not bad.
This customer service is your worst nightmare. My treatment plan was only suppose to last 4 months, but at the end of it my teeth still weren't straight so they sent another impression kit to make enhancements. Well it's been a month since I sent it back in and I just now found out their production is backed up so I'll have to wait another 1-2 months before I can receive the new retainers. Until them I'm stuck with these same ones. The service is very responsive at first, but once you confirm payment it all goes downhill after that. The customer service is horrible. The keep promising callbacks and to delivering the whitening kit but it is never happening. In addition, they need days to reply to e-mails even if you are in pain and you need instant advice. Really disappointing!
If there was an option for 0 Stars I would pick it!! I started my process to have my teeth straightened with CandidCo early Feb 2019 and thought it would be less expensive, fast, and easy seeing as I got 50% off and everything shipped right away and I got my starter kit quickly. However, at that point everything changed. I got notified I had to complete the kit within 1 week (which actually was 6 days since they counted the day it was delivered and I work) or I would have to pay the 50% I got off. If you pay the full $95 you get up to 1 month. I work full time M-F 8:30am to 5:30pm and drive 35-45 minutes one way to get to work and home. My children are 6-9 years old, so add that to my... Very poor communication and very disappointed about customer service. No follow up calls, or email to update you when the treatment plan is available for review . I approved the treatment, waited for 3 weeks for the aligners to come, and ended up finding out I have to approve again?!
The whole process takes forever and zero follow up from the team. WORST customer service ever. Took you money and then all gone radio silent.
Worst customer service. My kit is late and I've been told 4 different delivery dates. Extremely challenging to get in touch with a live agent (I am chatting with someone via Instagram). I was told by an agent when asked why no delays were ever communicated to me and she said "yah, that's not something we really do". They only offered me a $50 refund which is an insult, given the amount of time I have spent asking for updates. I get the sense this is a start up in someone's basement. Lots of money on marketing and very little on customer service. Total waste of money!!! If you are not a photographer, don’t waste your money. Getting the photos they want is near impossible. How can you pull your cheeks, shine a light and take a pic at the same time? I used assistance from a friend and still rejecting the photos. I’ve submitted 3 times w no luck and they refuse to help takethe photo as well as refund my money. Save yourself the aggravation
