Its massive network of over 2 million properties is backed by countless user reviews. They were one of the earliest companies of their kind in Asia when they launched in 2005.

Agoda have a short free cancel time range, compare to other online booking. I didn't realized it double booked room till 20 days before travel. Unfortunately, I can only contact the hotel through Agoda web page, that can't do anything but ask me to contact Agoda, which can't be contacted directly. Will never use it.
I suspect that Agoda is using an algorithmic strategy to "click-bait" and defraud consumers by offering much lower prices but for different dates than the consumer entered. I am out $140. Normally I might just eat this loss because, as I explain below, this was partly my fault. But it outrages me that this appears to be a pattern of defrauding customers. On Wednesday March 6 my flight home was cancelled so I needed to stay the night unexpectedly in Seattle. I used Google Maps to search for hotels, putting in the dates I wished to book for, Wed Mar 6 to Thursday March 7. Terrible company, please book through other websites. I was on my honeymoon and was denied a room that I had booked 1 week in advance with Agoda. I was offered a 50% Agoda cash refund for my inconvenience but this was after days of communicating back and forth through email demanding a refund. In the end I spent my last night on my honeymoon in a lousy hotel room. Please avoid Agoda Hotels at all costs, their integrity, customer support and compensation is terrible.
The website shows cheapest rate so I booked through them. You got what you paid for. Be aware of the currency SCAM. It is for an oversea hotel. Price was originally showed in USD, but after selecting 'pay later' option, it changed to local currency which made me believe that is one will be charged on. However when charge show up, it was a lot more. Called in and found out they charged USD instead of local currency which is in my case $150 MORE for 4 night stay. Also emailed them, simply ask them to recharge my card with local currency, got refused. Literally offered a deal and then charged 5x the amount I agreed to. Then refused to communicate with me about the cancellation. Then I had to get my credit card fraud team on them, and only then did they relent and work with the fraud team . . . never me, the fraud team.
Thieves charged me nearly double the advertised rate. Warn your friends as I will be.
Agoda charged my credit card for a booking that didn't happen because of site difficulties it was experiencing. Eventually I found out that this was a small pre-authorisation charge that's reversible. But in the time I took to find out exactly what was happening, I also discovered that: 1. It is impossible to get Agoda's attention without a valid Booking ID. Even if you have a valid billing question like that one I had, you cannot get past Agoda's automatic asks for a Booking ID and get to a customer service person to speak to. 2. I reserved a hotel in Tokyo via Agoda for the period Dec. 16-19 as a standby for another reservation when the first hotel advised me that they could not guarantee a non-smoking room. The standby reservation consistently said on every page as I worked through the reservation process on Agoda.com that the reservation was cancellable - "Free Cancellation" - "Free Cancellation" - "RISK FREE Cancellation" and "RISK FREE cancellation before 23:59 on December 13, 2008." When the first hotel said it could now confirm non-smoking rooms I went to Agoda.com to cancel my standby reservation - only to find a statement that the reservation had to have been cancelled 45 days in advance and otherwise I... I AGREE WITH THE COMMENTS BELOW ABOUT THIS COMPANY BEING A SCAM. THIS COMPANY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. I RESERVED one room and was charged for two rooms and when I informed the company that I was doubled book the agent told me even after he saw that I did not make the reservation that I would still be held accountable for the charge and he could not refund my money and then he told me there was nothing he can do for me and hung up on me. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT DESERVE ANY STARS AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.
SCAM! no reservation ever made and money was taken. No customer service
