Frontpoint offers three system packages plus the option of customizing equipment to suit your home to a tee. Its three packages include the equipment the most requested components and services. Video monitoring and smart home integration are built into all systems. The company is currently offering a 25% discount on all equipment purchases.

Frontpoint's three plans are called the Safehouse, the Bunker, and the Fortress. When purchased outright Safehouse equipment costs $294.30. Bunker equipment costs $475.44, and Fortress equipment costs $598.41. All prices include Frontpoint's current 25% discount.

With hardware manufactured by General Electric, we think Frontpoint's equipment is reliable and sophisticated. The company's touchscreen control panel is one of the best control centers out there. It's easy to use and customizable in order to accommodate any home, rental, or business. Frontpoint offers a wide array of sensors, including door and window, garage door, glass break detection, motion sensors, recessed door sensors, and crash & smash protection. The environmental protection and surveillance components are robust as well, boasting carbon monoxide, flood, temperature change, and smoke sensors, in addition to all types of indoor and outdoor cameras. Because the hardware is non-proprietary, Frontpoint hardware can be used with other mobile apps that support GE equipment.

With its 24/7 monitoring services, Frontpoint notifies its users via email, push notifications, and text; users can be notified of motion-triggered alerts, environmental alerts (flood or fire), and video camera alerts. All packages come with a monitoring plan which costs $49.99 per month (or $44.99 with ACH payment). Not everyone is tech-savvy: even when advertised as “easy-to-install” and “DIY,” many consumers will require some assistance to ensure their system has been set up and running properly. Although Frontpoint does not offer the least expensive monitoring plans in the market, as with many things, you get what you pay for: Frontpoint’s customer service and reputation are second to none in the business. For those consumers who value short waiting times on the phone when they have installation or technical support questions, we have seen overwhelmingly positive reviews online from satisfied Frontpoint customers. Frontpoint’s monitoring contracts do require one or three-year subscription contracts. If you think you will be moving in the near future or otherwise won't need your system, you should definitely consider how much money you'll be on the hook for based on the monitoring contract you've signed before committing to an equipment purchase. Frontpoint customers do have monitoring options. Frontpoint's hardware is not proprietary -- that is, there are other software apps that can be integrated with Frontpoint’s GE-manufactured hardware. Still, we recommend that consumers opt for Frontpoint’s industry-leading monitoring services to get maximum value from their systems.

I've been with Frontpoint for over 4 years. Great customer service. I had my base unit fail twice. The first time it was an antenna component that failed. The second time, the base unit just stopped working. In both instances, Frontpoint shipped a replacement quickly. They even upgraded me for free to new equipment the last time.

Had service for several years (contract). Have since canceled service because system costs too much for what it does. Had too many problems over the years with sensors, panel lockups, battery problems etc etc. Found out that with out subscription service, mobile apps are not possible so system "home automation" lights etc is only possible from panel (very much useless now). Camera is totally useless now (but was bad quality anyway). Have since just built my own system using more useful products that work directly with Google Nest.

I have had Frontpoint for over 2 years. I did not find the install as easy as they said and was on the phone for over 2 hours at that time. One of the cameras did not work so they had to send another one and then when it arrived I was on the phone some more. The first 2 years went fine with the exception of the motion sensor which went haywire and I took it down after a year. The monitoring was very good but then the sensors stopped working. I just did not want to reinstall more equipment. I feel their equipment is very cheaply made.

We never received the system yet they continued to charge our bank account for service we never received.To make matters worse, since I stopped further payments on our bank account they have continued to harass us even after we told them we were canceling the service for nonperformance. We wrote the state attorney general's office to see if they can be prosecuted for fraud or larceny.

I am a new customer with Frontpoint Security. I called them a few times to assist with the initial setup. I receive excellent customer service when called. Each representative was courteous, professional and patient when asked certain questions. Glad my son recommended this company!

Excellent company, wonderful service, rapid response, and when you have an issue you get to talk to a person who speaks excellent English - I suspect customer service is staffed with Americans Canadians or others whose main language is English. Our issue was resolved in less than 15 minutes. Have had Frontpoint Security for several years - they never disappoint.
