Healthcare Insurance Companies Review

Healthcare Insurance Companies offers a free service where customers are matched with health insurance marketplaces according to their location. They provide a wealth of information on the Affordable Care Act and several leading healthcare insurance providers on their website.

Healthcare Insurance Company Overview

Healthcare Insurance Company is a free, no-obligation online portal that allows customers to search for health insurance marketplaces by zip code. Customers can choose to get their results online or over the phone. Using the online form, customers only have to enter their zip code and indicate if they are over or under the age of 65 to get a list of contender health insurance marketplaces.

In addition, Healthcare Insurance Company offers an abundance of information on the Affordable Care Act (ACA), commonly known as Obamacare, as well as general and concise information on health insurance. They inform customers on:

  • ACA Rates
  • ACA Terms
  • ACA Pros and cons
  • ACA Problems
  • The official ACA website
  • The Open Enrollment period
  • Comparison between Obamacare vs. Trumpcare
  • A definition of each type of health insurance available  (HMO, EPO, PPO, POS, HDHP, and Catastrophic)
  • A summary on each leading health insurance providers (Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, and Kaiser)
  • COBRA health insurance
  • Information on healthcare insurance marketplaces in 47 states (Alaska, New Jersey and North Dakota are excluded).

Final Thoughts

Healthcare Insurance Company’s wealth of information on ACA may be useful for customers who wish to learn the basics on it. This information may then help them navigate ACA-compliant health insurance plans.

However, Healthcare Insurance Company does not provide information on where they are based or offer any company information other than simply stating that the site was made by Medicare Health Insurance Facts. In addition, they declare that their mission is to help customers identify and select a health insurance plan in a simple and hassle-free way. Healthcare Insurance Company does not have a profile on the Better Business Bureau, Trustpilot or A.M. Best. Customer reviews were scarce. We encourage customers to perform further research on the marketplaces that Healthcare Insurance Company recommends because of the lack of information on the company’s reputation and practices, as well as the inconsistency between their results and mission. Customers may begin their research by looking here where we have reviewed many healthcare insurance marketplaces.

Cigna is the worst health plan ever I have a son who is autistic, and he has severe speech delay. Cigna denied our speech therapy claim and said we would need pre-authorization for speech therapy. My son’s speech therapist provided all the medical record and evaluation report and I provide the diagnose report and prescription for speech therapy, but they still deny the authorization – then then the customer service (True care)told me we can do a peer to peer review to get the authorization processed. However, when my provider calls to schedule a peer to peer review, the answer they get is no we can’t do it. I as a customer must step in to make sure people among different department in... I have Cigna insurance. I have to pay over $700 from my own pocket plus my company payment of the 70% of the total, over $2300 monthly. Recently I got amlodipine besylate 2.5mg tablet for $11.88 for 30 tablets. Pharmacist told me the price of the medicine is $45.00. It was determined by insurrance company. I check the price on Google. It is only $15.00 for 90 tablet. What a greedy insurance company ! Cigna is the greedy insurance company. I have to pay 100% instrument costs for specialist health examination except $30 copay. Does anyboy have idea how the insurance determine the price of the medicine and medical services? What is the deal the insurance company makes with the... Read More
