Hellofresh requires a credit card or card to see meal plans. When I saw none of the products fit my dietary restrictions, I canceled and deactivated my account. This is where Hellofresh is shady. They charged my card without permission under the guise of “it’s within the 5 day window and cannot delete or refund.” Do they tell you that on the website, no. Do they offer a refund within two hours of their fraudulent charge, no. This website is set up to trap first time customers/victims with a purchase and there is no way back because it’s set up to be a guarantee for the company to get paid. I am very disappointed with HelloFresh. Horrendous experience with this company. Frequent issues with the delivery, including missing the main ingredient. When the main ingredient was missing from the delivery two weeks in a row, I canceled the service because of unreliability. The service is quite expensive for what you are getting, and it's not worth it if you can't count on it. You should look for another meal delivery service.

Be careful with the auto-renewal feature. I went into my account settings and cancelled every week that was listed as a weekly delivery. I didn't receive an email notification, an email asking if I wanted to change my menu preferences, a text or any other communication that would trigger the fact that I had a new order coming. What I did get is a text letting me know to expect a new delivery. Nice of them! Of course, it was an auto-payment as well and you don't have the option to cancel the order once the order has been "placed", whether you know it's been placed or not!

The food is delicious and easy to make, hence 2 stars. But the App and website don’t work at all. So I’m unable to see my deliveries, choose recipes, change delivery dates, etc. I’ve sent electronic feedback, called customer service 3 times now and still the same problems. The customer service sucks! They said they would contact me and I heard nothing for 10 days and had to call again. And again. They’ve told me to remove cache, uninstall the App, then reinstall, use the website instead. I’ve done all that and it still won’t work. It’s time consuming dealing with their inadequate technology.

Never had such an awful experience after cancelling my account they continued to send me packages so I went as far as cancelling / putting a hold on my card! All of the sudden they show up at my door after being out of town for vacation to rotted food that they charged me for! I called again to tell them to stop and they said I had never cancelled it ... It's a nightmare dealing with them! I am a single mom who works 60 hours a week this was suppose to make my life easier I assure you that isn't the case.

By the way every plate is owned by hello fresh. Same boring recipes that come in a messier unorganized package—smaller recipe cards which is fine but not impressed

I’ve dealt with this company since a little before the pandemic started. I got it to help take responsibility off my shoulders: a single mom of three. It was helpful but not for the condition the food came in. I called the company and complained. They didn’t care. So finally I tried cancelling. No cancel button on the app OF COURSE! I kept skipping weeks trying to remind myself to call the company. I also tried using the free meal promotions and that was a gimmick too! Customer service, delivery service, the product itself has gone downhill. They must have got more customers because there is a big difference since the start of my hello fresh purchasing to now. Great meals, selection and packaging. Unfortunately, the delivery service is the worst. 3 weeks in a row, my box didn't arrive. They suggested we change to another day, which we did, but it didn't help. it's not like I live in the boonies - in fact, it's a suburb of Dallas and my neighbor gets her box consistently.

FRAUD. they keep sending me 14 meals free but when you go on line you have to sign up and pay. THAT is not free. If I cant trust their own solicitation I CANNOT trust them otherwise. Poor way to do business.

Been using four weeks now. Overall food is good and portion size ends up more filling than it looks for wife and myself. My wife seems to be spending more time than suggested preparing. Delivery by courier service blows. Despite what some say you can pick a day but not a time. Not a big prob for us but handling is bad. I have a security camera and the boxes are thrown on my porch. I have been asked where i want the delivery put but they dont follow directions - that way they dont need to climb three steps. Delivery is a huge part of this service and it is done poorly.
