Overall Rating: 4.1 / 5 (Excellent)

Quostodio offers comprehensive parental monitoring tools at a very good price. It works across nearly all platforms and operating systems and is configurable to specific needs. Although it only offers annual pricing, its charges are among the lowest in the industry on a per-month basis. The company doesn't offer real-time ways for customers to contact it, but it does have a well-developed support section on its website. The service it provides is solid all around, but is especially well-suited to larger families and/or to families who have a large number of online devices.

Qustodio Features & Services

Features & Services - 4.8 / 5

Quostodio doesn't publish a comprehensive list of the content categories it blocks. Generally, it blocks pornography and "inappropriate content." However, it does allow parents to blacklist and whitelist specific domains. It also allows parents to set time limits for particular apps, to view social media activity, and to read texts. The package includes a tracking feature and a panic button. All in all, Qustodio offers a comprehensive suite of parental control tools that stacks up well against its competitors.

Qustodio Customer Experience

Customer Experience - 4.5 / 5

Qustodio's C-rating with the BBB is based on its failure to respond to a small handful of complaints about problems with the operation of its parental control service. Similar complaints depress its Trustpilot rating. The company doesn't do as much as some of its competitors to encourage consumer contact; it doesn't publish a telephone number, have a chat service, or use web forms. It relies heavily on FAQs to address customer concerns and offers only a single, general email address.

I am disappointed with their customer service as I sent them numerous emails about issues with their product. Also, my kids are able to turn the app off and on as they please.

We purchased the annual premium subscription for our granddaughter's phone, and I'm sorry we did. The time log spent on apps isn't accurate. There are apps recorded in a time log that my granddaughter doesn't use. After her time limit was up, I sent her a copy of her log. She said I was never on Reddit or Pinterest and didn't have those apps on my phone. Questodio registered large chunks of time spent in those apps. Come to find out, her dad sent her a link to a picture of someone from their favorite band from Reddit's site, and Qustodio logged over an hour of her being on Reddit when that wasn't the case. When I looked at the site, it seemed that's not uncommon, and "they are working on... Read More

This app does not work. It blocks web browsers and does not prevents usage hour limitations. Kids can still use phones even with the time blocked. Do not get this!

This program sucks. I have had Qustodio for a year and it did not work so well. I am a person who doesn't even DO REVIEWS and decided to do this due to the following reasons: ONE: This thing locked up my computer RIGHT BEFORE CLASS and wouldn't get unblocked. This is my 3rd computer so far and hasn't been blocked yet. TWO: If you block one thing, it blocks the whole browser. I tried blocking one site and it did work, but blocked whole browser. THREE: The "PRO" subscription is worse than Bark's subscription. It charges my credit card almost every day until I had to cancel it because it wasted my entire card balance. It charged like 50 dollars a year because my son uses his laptop... Read More

It’s a dangerous app. It leads you to believe you are able to help provide your kid a safe environment, but it doesn’t do that. It just provides you a false sense of security.

Bought this for a year now. It does NOT do its job and keeps messing up school app/zoom etc. Also have to jump through hoops to close the account or they will keep charging you.

It can sometimes harm the wifi and internet. Somethings, it can fail to block something or takes to long to unblock.

We purchased this to monitor android phones. Every time the phone updated or was turned off, the phones were logged out of Qustodio, and we lost the ability to track anything. Customer service kept telling us to just uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to work. This did NOT resolve our issue and customer service (which is only available via email-you can't actually talk to a person) stopped responding. Biggest waste of time and money.

It's not that good. Had this for almost 2 years. Makes cell phones super slow. It's good for tracking internet searches but not at all with texts or call history. Be sure to calendared your renewal date, because you can't cancel subscription and get reimbursed.
