Make sure you review your policy. We were told we had FULL Coverage. on our 2018 Wildwood 27RKSS After spending 5 days camping in FL and 4 days in North Alabama. we had a roof leak at the TV antenna control knob. Came home the next day as planned, took the camper to dealer only to find out a animal of some kind had scratched the roof at the antenna. Repair cost $6000.00 plus. Good Sam Insurance thru Integon National Insurance Company, a National General Company has a vermin clause and will not pay our claim. They are saying it's a "maintenance Issue".... even the insurance agent doesn't understand why it's a maintenance issue on a camper less than a year old.
After going thru the website to purchase coverage, still had to talk to an agent and go all the way BACK and repeat all the information by phone. A real aggravation.
I filed a claim with good sam on my travel trailer and they flat out denied it after the adjuster they sent out said it would be fixed. The repair shop said that they have had nothing but problems with good sam and would no longer be accepting work from them due to the way they treat their costomers as well as the repair shop. Mine was 1 of many problems that they have had to deal with thru good sam. NOT SO GOOD! Going to have to go to court to get resolved!?
Roadside Assist is a joke. The air brakes went out in my 44 ft diesel pusher motorhome. I had just stayed a couple of nights in a very full RV park. When I started out in the morning, something blew and all my air pressure went to 0. My brakes automatically locked. My air bags deflated. I called Good Sam Roadside Service expecting to get a tow to a Freightliner service center for brake repair. That did not happen. First I talked to Diamond. She was ordered by the in house RV Tech to secure a mobile service to come fix my coach. Diamond called me several hours later, telling me she was having problems finding a mobile service that could or would come and at least look at the coach.... Read More
I have never slammed a company but I will give my review on Good Sam Insurance/National General. They denied my using my repair company even when I gave them all the repair companies labor rates. They didn't want to let me use the company because they would not reduce the repair. When I went to the suggested companies they told me that the labor cost was one thing for me personally and for the National General/Good Sam a lower rate. I took me getting my attorney involved before I could get them to agree. They also told me it would only be a one time deal. We will not work with them again. BULL CRAP!!!!!! I gave it a one star only because I could not put ZERO stars!!! EVERY repair center said Oh MY GOD, that is the worst insurance and they will deny coverage. YEP, they were right!!! If insurance cost you 10 times as much it would still be worth getting it somewhere else. This insurance SUCKS!! They happily excepted my payments for years and then when I do need it, it is turned down. HEED THE WARNINGS. Don't just believe me, search some real reviews and call repair centers(not camping world) and ask them about National General, they will tell you. I have learned the hard way. I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE GOOD SAM WOULD RUIN THEIR NAME WITH THIS JUNK!!!
I have National General insurance through Good Sam. That's why I'm at this site looking for something better! We had a tire blow-out last year, which damaged the wheel well. We got it towed to our RV dealer using AAA. But the dealer couldn't do that repair, suggested an actual RV repair shop. National General said sure, go ahead, and that they would get it towed. Weeks later, after going through Good Sam to complain, they FINALLY got it towed. Then they took over a month to reply to the repair shop, and did not even due that until I called several times. This insurance co. is a big rip off, I got a claim went to their preferred repair shop for a quote after 2 weeks called them and they said the quote wasn't ready I asked when will it be ready they said they didn't know it takes time. I got a quote from Lackeys RV service for 5,884.00, Sent it along with pictures to national general as they requested they said they had no adjuster in Alabama I made emergency repairs and returned to the Chicago area they sent a check for 671.87 + 500.00 deductible total of 1,171.87 $4712.63 short of the estimate . Do not recommend the hype of this company! Their performance stinks. We got stuck on I-75 four miles north of Wildwood, Fl. Sunday at 4 pm. Calling Good Guy Sam was like calling a "nonexistent service". "We are sorry but there's nothing we can do for you. There is no tow truck or no service vehicle that we can send out. Try to get your vehicle to a truck stop and maybe we can help you." We could not move our vehicle. THIS MEMBERSHIP IS A RIP OFF!

The customer service reason is that it was its yearly company correction.
So did everyone that had a auto policy in the US get a 35% increase also?
