We have used Nationwide Insurance for our ranch insurance for 20 years and have always been so pleased with their response for any problems. Now were so excited to find they offered pet insurance! With a few problems with puppy, they have come through just as they said they would, thank you Nationwide! Karen and AndaraLeigh!

My claim was submitted and check from NationWide was sent right away. I'm very pleased with the response time and the pleasant E-mail follow up. My car is currently insured with GEICO and from an accident I had on September 28,2016 it still hasn't been resolved. Trying to get answers or direct conversations with claim specialist is almost impossible and recently have been working with a supervisor that's become a nightmare. I'm aware of course you have car insurance too so I'm going to compare prices and coverages. If prices are the same or close I'll be switching.

We are currently experiencing every pet parent's worst nightmare- learning that our dog has cancer. We obtained Petplan insurance for our soon-to-be seven-year-old Doberman, Scarlet, along with two of our other dogs when they were very young. I can't say enough about the entire Petplan Insurance organization. They have responded promptly, efficiently, and with extreme compassion from the second that we had to rush Scarlet to our vet 3 weeks ago, to her being transferred to an Emergency Specialty Clinic, and to now receiving weekly chemotherapy treatments. She also receives Physical Therapy two times weekly to help regain the use of her back legs, which she lost partial use of. Each and every claim that we submitted was handled with a sense of urgency. Several pre-authorization requests were also submitted and handled very promptly and also with a sense of urgency and concern for the care of our beloved pet. Not only did I receive follow-up email responses from Petplan but I also received very empathetic phone call responses to accompany their emails, as well. I can't say enough about representatives -Chris Rugal, Bianca D'Amato, Dan Mason, David Nelson, and claims adjuster Sarah Baker. They have truly gone above and beyond, and are assets to their profession. They are genuinely compassionate to our situation and their interaction is helpful in making a very emotional experience less painful. I would encourage anyone who owns a pet to consider Petplan Insurance. One never knows what life has in-store for us. You wouldn't go without insurance for yourself or your children -why would you go without insurance for your pet? They are beloved and treasured family members. Petplan Insurance is by far the best pet insurance company out there. And believe me, I know -I have researched all of the other pet insurance companies, and in comparison, Petplan is by far superior, from their service to the various plans offered . Scarlet is fighting and we have such Peace of Mind and are extremely grateful knowing that we could give her every opportunity that is offered to her with the help of Petplan.

I have had my insurance for a couple of years for my dog. I was thinking of canceling it because I didn't use it. Luckily, I didn't, my dog was recently diagnosed with Diabetes and the cost were huge. I turned my claim into VPI and they paid all but $250.00 of it. Wow!! Not only that but, I was paid with each claim in less than 14 days. Very convenient you can follow your claim on thier website. Thank you VPI. It was worth every penny I paid into it.

I've had PetPlan for years, I think around 8 years now and I cannot be happier with their coverage, speed of processing claims and the amounts that they cover and reimburse. They do not split hairs, and I never had a question or a doubt that they were not being fair in their reimbursements. I've had three cats covered through them, out of which one had to be put down due to acute renal failure and it cost in the ER hospital fees in thousands of $ (LA, CA). They paid me back everything, minus the deductible and up to 80% for the ER/specialty care. Then I adopted my second cat, who is still rather young, but he just had a second bout of pancreatitis in his short 5 years of live. He barely survived and the bill again was in thousands of $$$ for having to rush him in between an ER and ER Specialty hospital. PetPlan again covered a fair deal and sent me a check within 10 days. No questions asked. Fair coverage, happy customer and my cat pulled through, thankfully to this great insurance and even more so to the staff of the two hospitals that took a good care of him. Thank you PetPlan!

I think your review is really unfair to VPI. I had VPI when I owned a very ill great dane and they paid out more than they would have recouped if the dog had lived 10 years. I currently have Pet Plan because of all the GLOWING reviews that I had read and am on the verge of dropping them because I'm paying more for their coverage than I did with VPI and they have NEVER paid out a SINGLE DIME! Not even for an animal attack. With Pet Plan, you are banking on your dog getting some hereditary illness later in life that will be costly, but the day to day costs of owning a pet? Forget it. I'm going back to VPI.
