Our Geno is so young and has gotten off to a rough start. Without the wonderful support of Nationwide, our ability to provide treatment would have been life altering for him. We can't express enough how the quick responsiveness and follow up of Nationwide has made the biggest difference in helping Geno get through this and grow into a strong and healthy dog. Thanks Nationwide!!!

It was very clear this time that my cat did not have any pre-existing conditions that would prevent the payment, as I have experienced in the past. They agreed to pay all charges, minus the $200 deductible which was fair. They agreed to pay within an hour of submitting the claims. There were initially some problems with their online submission process but they corrected it and I was able to do it all online instead of mailing it in, as in the past.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience regarding a recent claim you submitted to Petplan. I'm glad we were able to get the technical issue resolved so you could complete your submission online. We hope the treatment your kitty received is helping resolve the reason for your recent visit to the vet.

My husband and I have been with Petplan for over 20 years now both in the UK and in the USA. We have had many bears (dogs) during this time. We have been fortunate enough to share our homes, money, food, cars and sofas with the hairy critters but unfortunately two of our bears during this time have required many surgeries and treatments. Our last bear who is still living at home is Katie, she is a 10 1/2 year old Newfoundland. Over Katie's life time she has had five major surgeries which alone would have cost us over $10,000 which we would have struggled to pay if it wasn't for the insurance. Not once has Petplan ever come back to us and said 'Sorry, you are not covered', and for this we are very grateful. Not only has Katie had five surgeries but she has had X-Rays, diagnostic ultrasounds, laser treatments, which she is still currently having and a bucket load of medication and all this has been covered. We recommend Petplan to all our friends and family and even people we meet out at the park. Thank you Petplan for your support and continued service.

I have had my insurance for a couple of years for my dog. I was thinking of canceling it because I didn't use it. Luckily, I didn't, my dog was recently diagnosed with Diabetes and the cost were huge. I turned my claim into VPI and they paid all but $250.00 of it. Wow!! Not only that but, I was paid with each claim in less than 14 days. Very convenient you can follow your claim on thier website. Thank you VPI. It was worth every penny I paid into it.

I've had PetPlan for years, I think around 8 years now and I cannot be happier with their coverage, speed of processing claims and the amounts that they cover and reimburse. They do not split hairs, and I never had a question or a doubt that they were not being fair in their reimbursements. I've had three cats covered through them, out of which one had to be put down due to acute renal failure and it cost in the ER hospital fees in thousands of $ (LA, CA). They paid me back everything, minus the deductible and up to 80% for the ER/specialty care. Then I adopted my second cat, who is still rather young, but he just had a second bout of pancreatitis in his short 5 years of live. He barely survived and the bill again was in thousands of $$$ for having to rush him in between an ER and ER Specialty hospital. PetPlan again covered a fair deal and sent me a check within 10 days. No questions asked. Fair coverage, happy customer and my cat pulled through, thankfully to this great insurance and even more so to the staff of the two hospitals that took a good care of him. Thank you PetPlan!

I think your review is really unfair to VPI. I had VPI when I owned a very ill great dane and they paid out more than they would have recouped if the dog had lived 10 years. I currently have Pet Plan because of all the GLOWING reviews that I had read and am on the verge of dropping them because I'm paying more for their coverage than I did with VPI and they have NEVER paid out a SINGLE DIME! Not even for an animal attack. With Pet Plan, you are banking on your dog getting some hereditary illness later in life that will be costly, but the day to day costs of owning a pet? Forget it. I'm going back to VPI.
