I had my doubts at first due to never having pet insurance, but I'm beyond happy for joining the Nationwide family. The reimbursement time line is much fast than I expected. 110% happy!

Having Nationwide coverage for my two dogs has been such a blessing. Thank you for your prompt review and financial reimbursement. I no longer worry about vet bills and can seek the best care available.

I am so thankful I have Petplan for my dog Zoey, who unfortunately has an ongoing issue that Petplan is covering. She also recently has been limping and has been to the vet twice for this and we're still unsure what the cause is and Petplan has covered the expenses for this as well. I recently submitted four claims for both the ongoing issue and limping and when I realized my claims were taking a little longer than usual to be completed, I contacted Petplan and spoke with Gina. She made sure I didn't have to wait much longer for my claims to be completed and she notified me that they were done the day after I spoke with her. Thank you Petplan and Gina!

Petplan has been a great Insurance for my 2 Pugs over the last 6.5 years. They recently had Dental surgery ( both dogs) by a Board Certified Dentist and I was unsure if Petplan would pay. I spoke to 3 awesome reps many times, Blair G, Simone and Tami R ( I seemed to need to call daily for about 2 weeks) my claims were expedited ( without me having to ask) and we got reimbursed almost $4000 within about 10 days. My one pug didn't handle the surgery very well and Petplan paid for a specialist and ER visits, no problem. I recently talked to Blair again and she really cared about my dogs and remembered them, asked how they were. The claims representatives are a big plus for me, they helped me through an emotional time with care and compassion! Thanks Ladies!!!

I have had my insurance for a couple of years for my dog. I was thinking of canceling it because I didn't use it. Luckily, I didn't, my dog was recently diagnosed with Diabetes and the cost were huge. I turned my claim into VPI and they paid all but $250.00 of it. Wow!! Not only that but, I was paid with each claim in less than 14 days. Very convenient you can follow your claim on thier website. Thank you VPI. It was worth every penny I paid into it.

Petplan Pet Insurance review
I've had PetPlan for years, I think around 8 years now and I cannot be happier with their coverage, speed of processing claims and the amounts that they cover and reimburse. They do not split hairs, and I never had a question or a doubt that they were not being fair in their reimbursements. I've had three cats covered through them, out of which one had to be put down due to acute renal failure and it cost in the ER hospital fees in thousands of $ (LA, CA). They paid me back everything, minus the deductible and up to 80% for the ER/specialty care. Then I adopted my second cat, who is still rather young, but he just had a second bout of pancreatitis in his short 5 years of live. He barely survived and the bill again was in thousands of $$$ for having to rush him in between an ER and ER Specialty hospital. PetPlan again covered a fair deal and sent me a check within 10 days. No questions asked. Fair coverage, happy customer and my cat pulled through, thankfully to this great insurance and even more so to the staff of the two hospitals that took a good care of him. Thank you PetPlan!

I think your review is really unfair to VPI. I had VPI when I owned a very ill great dane and they paid out more than they would have recouped if the dog had lived 10 years. I currently have Pet Plan because of all the GLOWING reviews that I had read and am on the verge of dropping them because I'm paying more for their coverage than I did with VPI and they have NEVER paid out a SINGLE DIME! Not even for an animal attack. With Pet Plan, you are banking on your dog getting some hereditary illness later in life that will be costly, but the day to day costs of owning a pet? Forget it. I'm going back to VPI.
