Got insurance for my 6 month old dog, Dog required a few stitches. Claim and service was fairly good reimbursement was good. Following year they increased my rate for a very minor incident.

Petsecure Canada Pet Insurance review
I had Petsecure Insurance level 3 for my dog and they were great. They covered everything that was included in the policy up until my pup got cancer. Pet Secure covered all his bills with no questions asked. When I calculated how much I paid to them in insurance over the years they actually reimbursed me more money than I had paid in insurance premiums. Can't see what some of the reviewers below are saying about their experience. What people need to understand is insurance covers unknown accidents and illnesses. If you don't have the proper paperwork to support your claim or your dog has any signs of pre-existing then it's a tough break. My pup contracted giardia at 6 months but I didn't have insurance at the time. I got Petsecure afterwards and I understand that I couldn't claim any stomach parasites as it was pre-existing. I think most people need to read up on what Insurance really is before they post some of these negative comments....

I am surprised at these reviews very concerning! I have been with petsecure for more then 10 years. Every time we needed them they were instantly there right to the end of our Meesha journey! No questions immediately covered what was needed! We now have a new pup to insure these comments have me now worried on which company to choose Ugh!

Submitting claims couldn't be easier (they have an app for this!), and the support is always there when needed. Usually receives the claim in the mailbox within 1-2 weeks (if you are living in Canada). I would totally recommend my friends to join PetPlan if they have a pet at home.

My kitty Harley got sick and couldn't keep anything in his system for 4-5 days. Took him to ER and they thought they saw an object on the X-ray's. My vet diagnosed IBS/Pancreatitis. He would not eat for over 2 weeks. I had to keep going back to the vet and getting new medications to try to heal him and syringe feed him so that he would not have liver issues. I was going to get him help no matter what the cost, but having PetPlan insurance really helped!!! I was about to go to a specialist when he finally started eating. I sent in my bills and received a check in the mail within a few weeks. I have had PetPlan insurance for both of my kitties for over 6 years now and I wouldn't do without it! They are super easy to work with and makes my mind at ease to take care of my fur babies without having to worry about cost.

Petsecure has been amazing to deal with , its been almost 2 years and not once have we had an issue - claims are processed quickly and painless-I have a gentle giant that doesn't know his own strength that has needed a few stitches as well as a pretty serious CCL surgery and pet secure has not let me or my fur baby down! thank you! I have only had to call in once about a couple questions and it was the best customer service, so I am one very happy customer!

Petsecure Canada Pet Insurance review
Pet secure is reasonable and fair & seems superior to the rest. Your TOTAL YEARLY DEDUCTIBLE is $100 for 'secure 3' or $250 for 'secure 4'. I went with secure 4 because my yearly preventative care is $613.07 (Breakdown- exam $78.90, vaccines $41.10, bordetella $33.10, blood test $67.70, flea & Tick 170.10, heart worm 110.04, fecal $41.60 = $542.54 (Total) + $70.53 (tax) = $613.07). With secure 4, you also get $600 in dental preventative care. Secure 4 (with tax) $123.78 x 12 = $1,485.36 ($1,735.36 with $250 yearly deductible) or Secure 3 $85.62 x 12 = $1,027.44 ($1,127.44 with $100 yearly deductible). I end up spending $1,213.07 on preventative each year. After the $1,735.36, I'm left with about $41.67/month for full coverage of any other issues. You pay up front for treatments and they deposit the money within 15 day into your account. If there is a catastrophic event, they will pay the vet directly. The customer service folks seem great. I recommend them highly! BTW, it is a monthly commitment and you can quit anytime without penalty. I wish I had gotten it before our dog fractured 2 teeth and platelets dropped significantly costing over $2k :-(( "Live & learn!"
