Summary

PC pet insurance scores great in terms of the quality of coverage it provides with each of its plans. Having no age limits for enrollment is great, especially for pet owners planning for long-term pet care. At $5,000 per accident or illness limit per year, its Ultra plan seems to be a good offer but this might not suffice for pets suffering from chronic illness. This is especially true for its lower ceiling plans (Choice, Value). For pet owners who fear that their pets are prone to lingering illnesses, searching for no-limit benefit pet insurance plan offers would be a better choice.

I have had this insurance for my pet dog since he was a puppy. Now as a senior dog he has heart failure. Not only has my deductible increased, but the 80% coverage I paid for all these years has arbitrarily been reduced to 50% coverage. Not what I signed up for. So be aware, that 80% coverage doesn't mean you will also always have 80% coverage, read the fine print. Claims take a while to process (2-3 weeks) but most things are covered (I signed up for the best option) which is one benefit.

These people are a bunch of con-artists. Not only do they not care about the health of your pet, but they like to continuously add exclusions to policies and increase deductibles without warning. I will be putting my animal down as this pathetic, useless, terrible, inconsiderate company does not look out for the best interest of the owner or the pet. Never EVER will I ever recommend PC pet insurance. Worst insurance company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Looks good so far. I'm glad to see that they have a plan for older dogs

Coverage wasn't sufficient. My dog went in for a spay, as a result she developed an infection and required additional treatment and none of which was covered by Pc. My suggestion, read the fine print and do your research before you sign.

I'm very happy with this pet insurance. I had one dogs on petsecure but with my second one picked PC insurance. The quote was considerably less as my first dog had been and both are the same breed. At first I was Leary thinking what's the catch. All the coverage on paper seemed to be there. I was pleasantly surprised. So much so that when I got a third dog, I put her on PC insurance as well. They have paid out all my claims at 80 percent after the $100 deductible per year. I have had everything from ear infections to eye surgeries and hip dysphasia. My first dog on pet secure had one event wheee she invested something poisonous and was treated in emergency for a few days. They did... Read More

We had our 2 dogs insured through this service provider and their low cost pet insurance we now understand means low level customer service as well as little to no coverage for our dogs. Their customer service rep. continuously got our 2 dogs mixed when speaking to her on the phone and gave us incorrect information. Also, they way they interpret the vet's note to the extreme was very disappointing to say the least. Our larger dog has a corn on his foot which they interpret as being a dog with a lame leg, unable to walk and put a exclusion for 6 months on his file. To make matters worse the vet put on the dog's report that he has separation anxiety which is quite normal for dogs from... Read More
