MASA Assist is an emergency medical transportation provider that offers its service through a membership program. The company's programs are designed to offset the staggering cost of medical transport (particularly air transport) that could be incurred in an emergency. MASA members pay a yearly fee and one time signup fee, and are then covered should a situation arise that they need emergency transportation.

Services are mainly located in the western hemisphere covering the USA, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean and nearby areas. Aside from offering medical air transport for members, MASA Assist also provides ground ambulance and helicopter transportation.

I signed up a few years back at a camp site. I forgot I even had the plan! Fast forward to a month ago and I was hospitalized from a fall in my home. My neighbor luckily found me and by then I was in bad shape. Because the fall had happened over a day prior (!) and for whatever other reason medicare denied my bill from the ambulance ride in after my concerned neighbor called on my behalf. I called once to fight it and I found I was just spinning my wheels trying to get someone over at medicare services to actually help reverse their decision. Then, I found my plan with MASA. I am so gratefuI had thought to sign up - even though I could not immediately recall I had a plan after all.... Read More

MASA MTS Division is one of the best. The benefits they offer are outstanding! Not only will they Cover 100% of your Ambulance bills, even if your insurance denied your claim, but they will also fly a family member or friend along side you. They have an amazing vehicle return benefit, pet return, mortal remains return, child supervision for unattended minors, and even an organ transplant transport service. MANY benefits that go above and beyond anything you've ever heard of. They even cover people with pre-existing conditions (90days into the membership), any age, no claim forms, no health questions, and not even any deductables. This membership covers you at home AND away from home... Read More

Travel in the Caribbean, cruises and Scuba. This will give me peace of mind, that I will get the best care available and get me back home. Also drive in Atlanta traffic, so if do get in a wreck I will not have to worry about a helicopter ride to get me to the best hospital. Melissa Cumming, GA

Useless! Due to their slow response time, the patient had been in the hospital long enough that only rehabilitation was needed. Which would be fine, except that MASA's agreement states that they do, "not provide an air ambulance transfer out of or into a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting," so if they wait long enough they'll never have to pay. Kindly they suggest a common carrier, which promptly denies transport due to the extent of the patients disabilities. This left no choice but to book the air ambulance ourselves.

I was told that once documents are provided to prove legitimate reason to fly, compensation would be given, eve if it wouldn't be an overnight stay, This was a lie..a total scam..
