Overall Rating: 3.1 / 5 (Very good)

With over 60 years in the business, Link Interactive offers reliable, customizable home security systems tailored to homeowners' needs and budget. They provide cellular monitoring with 2-way communication, three different contract lengths, a 3-year rate lock, and a 3-year warranty on all equipment. They do, however, charge upfront for the equipment and their monthly rates may seem steep in comparison to similar products on the market.

Technology Integrations

Technology Integration - 3.5 / 5

Link Interactive offers email and text alerts, live surveillance feed, and remote arm/disarm. They provide home automation options for two of its packages, which allows you to remotely control locks, lighting, temperature, and appliances in your home via their iOS and Android apps. Their technology is compatible with Google Home, IFTTT, Z-Wave, and ZigBee.

One exciting and unique feature of Link Interactive's home security package is video analytics. Available in 2019 with their Elite plan, video analytics continuously scans the customer's property and alerts them via thumbnail image on their mobile device when people, vehicles, or animals are detected. Customers also receive video clips when there is potentially suspicious activity, like a car pulling in the driveway at night, or when someone is loitering on their porch. With Link Interactive's Elite plan, customers get up to 3,000 clips per month.

I really wish I would have done my homework with this company before signing a 36 month contract ugh! you live and learn and what i've learned is to read reviews more and see what are the pros and cons before making a decision. I'm sorry to say this company gets a half a star from me because of its very poor customer service and one star for equipment. I stand by my review

6 months in and the system still doesn't work. Phone help is a joke do to inexperience with types of installs and specific equipment needed for different types of doors and windows. After 6 months of paying for a service I cannot even activate to protect my home they want $900 to cancel contract. They do not offer onsite help just want you to pay for a service that you cannot use.

I have been EXTREMELY pleased with my Link Interactive service. They use Alarm.com as the back-end infrastructure, and my experience has been stellar from start to finish. I contracted to the "gold" plan level, which means I have all features, to include video monitoring and storage. The service initiation phase was simple/easy, and the few times I've needed support the response was immediate (and comprehensive). Highly recommended. I have not been compensated for this review, or asked to provide it. Eric M. in Chesterfield, VA.

Appeances can be deceiving. In the case with Link Interactive, they are. First, the positive, someone in support answers the phone and eager to help. The unfortunate part is they know very little beyond what you can read in any set up or configuration pamphlet that come with the various products. The sales department is equally eager to help out. The unfortunate part, again, is not knowing the products they sell and “support”. The selection is slim and not always up to date. (e.g. GE 45609 listed on their Alarm.com page). Also, they sell but have not supported the Chamberlain garage door module. Something they *should* be both up front and honest with their customers. At least... Read More

Clearly these fraudsters have paid to be included in the top 5 alarm companies. DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE!!! I ordered a system in April and paid a professional handyman (who has worked for alarm companies, so yes he knows exactly how to install) to install the system, and have been paying $29.99 per month. Two months in I go repeated warnings on the control panel that the upper level door was open. I checked, and the door was NOT open, but securely locked. I did however notice the connecter device had slid down my door, so I called to complain to the company that either they send someone out to correct the problem or release me from my contract so I could get service from a... If you are after an easy to install DIY system with full real people support and active real people monitoring, look no further. Yes, I am a real person and no, I am not receiving anything for this review. They did ask me to write a review though. The system comes pre-programmed based off your online setup. The install is very straightforward as is the system. On three occasions I ended up calling both Link and Alarm.com for both installation and alarm questions. I was a bit surprised to get a person pretty darn quickly who knew what they were talking about. My system took several hours to install and included no less than 25 or sensors and a door lock. The system integrates with... Read More

After a recent home burglary, I spent some time researching security systems and selected a package offered by Link Interactive. I received the system in a few days and installed the system over the course of two days. Pros: I was able to select from an assortment of available sensors and control modules and like the available add-ons including thermostat control and control of door locks. The system is attractive and the sensors are reasonably unobtrusive. Our old ADT system had smaller wireless sensors, but these are fine. I like using the Alarm.com app to arm, disarm, and view the log. It is generally easy to add new sensors after the initial installation and expand the... Read More
