With regards to deductibles, Warranty Direct states that no deductible payment is required concerning coverage listed in the benefits section of their contracts, yet if a deductible applies, the type of deductible and amount will be shown on the coverage application page for covered failures on a per repair visit basis. Should a covered failure require more than one visit to repair, only one deductible will apply to that failure. If the client selects the Disappearing Deductible option, the standard deductible is waived, provided the client had the repairs performed at Firestone or AAMCO. One drawback concerning Warranty Direct's services is that they may require maintenance records before service, so the client is responsible for keeping track of all services performed on the vehicle.

*New/Used as New Vehicle Contract: Coverage under the contract begins upon expiration of the Waiting Period. The contract will expire according to the time/mileage of the contract selected, whichever occurs first, as shown on the Application Page. Contract expiration is measured in time from the contract purchase date and mileage from zero (0) miles. *Used Vehicle Contract: This contract will expire according to the time/mileage of the Contract SPECIMEN selected, whichever occurs first, as shown on the Application Page. Contract expiration is measured in time from the contract purchase date and mileage from the odometer mileage at contract purchase date.

Service Contract - 8 / 10
Service contracts with Warranty Direct start providing coverage after 30 days or 1,000 miles, and expire according to the time or mileage specified in the selected contract. The contract expiration is measured either in time from the contract expiration date for new vehicles or in mileage from the odometer mileage on the contract purchase date for used vehicles. Direct Warranty does not specify if they require a vehicle inspection before contract, but they do provide sample or "specimen" contracts and warranty transferability in case of sale. Their plans can be cancelled at any time within the first 30 days from the contract purchase date for a full refund, yet if the client attempts to cancel after the first 30 days or has filed claims during that time there will be a $100 charge plus the amount of any claims paid by the company.
