Founded in 2016, Truth Treatment Systems offers non-prescription treatment for a variety of skincare concerns, including rosacea, acne, hyperpigmentation, and more. The company also markets products that combat premature skin aging and help maintain overall skin health. Truth Treatment Systems is located in Boulder, Colorado.

Evaluation Process

Customers do not participate in a formal evaluation process, but search for products on their own according to their skincare issues. Truth Treatment's online product catalog is organized by issue: you can select products to treat acne, aging skin, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, and dry or sensitive skin.

The non-prescription skincare formulae Truth Treatment Systems has created contain 100% active and functional ingredients, without fillers, preservatives, waxes, emulsifiers, oils, or fragrances. The company points out that, unlike with many other skincare products, the amount of product you use influences how effective your treatment will be. Each product is applied in specific dosages to be sure you're not overtreating or undertreating your skincare problems.

Prescription Medication and Non-Prescription Options

Truth Treatment Systems was founded by Benjamin Knight Fuchs, a registered pharmacist, nutritionist, and skincare chemist with more than 30 years' experience advising consumers on dermatological matters and in skincare product development. The company supplies non-prescription products only: nearly forty of them. These include products for cleansing, hydrating, addressing flare-ups, supporting skin regeneration, and more. The company offers topical products and nutritional supplements. You can purchase products a-la-carte or in bundled systems. Since most of us aren't skin care experts, we might find it difficult to design our own skincare regimens. Shopping by system, rather than by trial and error, may represent the best option, but Truth Treatment does offer customers a choice in how to address their skincare issues.

Price and Convenience

Compared to the non-prescription skincare products produced by some cosmetic companies—certainly the brands you might find at the drugstore, Truth Treatment products are on the pricey side. If you typically shop for moisturizers, exfoliating scrubs, and similar products at department store cosmetic counters, you won't experience quite as much sticker shock, but, overall, Truth Treatment products are expensive, even when compared with some prescription products.

For example, you can purchase a 5ml bottle of Truth Treatment's Transdermal Vitamin C serum for $49. A 2-oz. bottle of the company's honey cleanser costs $30. The company's lowest price system, the Energizing Exfoliating bundle, costs $189 (on sale) and includes six products. Other systems run as high as $372 (on sale) but systems do offer cost savings over separately purchased products.

Educational Materials

Truth Treatment Systems publishes ingredient lists for all products it sells. We appreciate this level of transparency, though like most skincare product ingredient lists, items listed are hard to decipher—and pronounce—for a novice. Product benefits are clearly listed, too, to help customers make informed purchases.

The Truth Treatment Systems website features a blog written by the company's founder. It isn't updated that often: the last post dates from Spring of 2020. We noticed that most articles are promotional in nature, not purely educational.
